Search & Planning

How to use All Aboard, guides and information.

Searching destinations

  • We're currently offering train rides to and from hundreds of exciting cities around Europe. We've carefully hand-picked our destinations as we only want to sell tickets to trips we know are comfortable, affordable and well balanced.

We're expanding our offerings of destination inch by inch as we get the opportunity to sell tickets in more countries, see an upswing in demand or get requests often enough. Can't find your destination? See: Why can’t I find a specific city when I’m searching?

  • All Aboard offer trips and tickets to a selected number of cities. We are constantly expanding our inventory of destinations. Learn more under Our destinations .

If you can't find your departure or destination, the easiest way is to check what the nearest large city is and search for that instead, then buy tickets for that trip separately at the operator's website or at the train station. Example: Copenhagen to Oxford. You're able to buy tickets all the way from Copenhagen to London with All Aboard. The local train ticket from London to Oxford will have to be bought separately.

Are you missing a destination? Let us know! The best way to do this is to talk to us through the chat function or shoot us an email to support@allaboard.eu .

Planning tool

  • The Trip Planner. The page with the yellow background. This is where you build your trip by adding, removing or changing order of destinations. Make your trip as comfortable and affordable as possible by browsing departures and prices.

How do I choose a class?

Default will always be the 2nd Class price. We've tried making the Trip Planner as simple as possible, and have therefore chosen to put the choice of class in the next after. For more information about classes, read: First and second class .

Is one of your trips super long?

If you feel that a trip is way too long, then there's a hack for you. Example: Hamburg to Milan takes 11h 16min. The train from Hamburg departs at 10:24 and arrives in Milan at 21:40. You click on the trip Hamburg to Milan to see that there's a transfer in Basel at 16:56, almost perfectly half way through the trip. To split the trip, simply remove Milan, add Basel after Hamburg and then add Milan again after Basel. This trick only works if Milan is your final destination. We're working on a better solution.

Why are you showing a link to buy a certain ticket somewhere else?

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to sell all train tickets in the world, even if we'd very much like to. With that in mind, we decided it'd be a nice service to show you where you can buy that particular ticket separately, instead of not showing anything at all. You're welcome :)

  • In the blue box, seen on the page where you plan your trip, you'll get an overview of what your booking looks like, such as travel dates and a ticket price overview. To get your tickets, click the "Proceed to purchase" button. From there, you'll get a more in-depth presentation of ticket prices, reservation fees , the All Aboard service fee as well as choice of ticket class and seat preference .

  • All Aboard Stories is the part of our service where our fantastic users share their favorite previously traveled trips with the rest of the world. If you find a trip that looks exciting, you can easily make a copy of that trip, tweak it to something that suits you perfectly and then get the tickets for it.

Do you want to share a trip that you think might benefit others? Go to our landing page, scroll down a bit and click the button that says, "Share your trip". Over there you'll be guided to add destination after destination, in the order you traveled.
